Award:              'Best Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility'

Pepperton uk was awarded the BoB's 'Best Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility'  award in November 2006 at Addington Palace, Croydon.  The criteria upon which the judges base the award was;  "The business that, over and above the needs of their core business, is able to demonstrate that they act responsibly towards, and in the best interests of the community, their employees, suppliers, and the wider environment".

Pepperton uk were nominated in the 'Best Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility' category.  The Event Programme, (shown opposite) describes Pepperton uk as
"a vegetarian and ground breaking art gallery showcasing well established international, national, regional, and local artists, bringing contemporary art, healthy nutritious food and holistic complementary therapy to Croydon".

A distinguished panel of 8 judges from the Croydon Business Community, including Angelina Purcell MBE,
Chief Executive, Croydon Business Ltd,  deliberated over nominations from companies within the borough and the Winners and Runners up from each category were acknowledged and celebrated at the prestigious awards ceremony.

Representatives and guests from the nominated groups were welcomed to the Palace with a champagne reception.  Guests wined and dined before celebrity guest speaker for the evening, BBC Royal Correspondent, Jennie Bond hailed the achievements of the finalists.

Celestine took a few moments to reiterate the increasing childhood poverty level in today's society and its impact on the national concerns for childhood obesity.  He asked for support in Peppertons' Children Healthy Food Programme as it enters its 4th year.
